#54 – Lupin the Third: The Fuma Conspiracy Review

Lupin is back! This time we’re reviewing the 1987 film/OVA Lupin the Third: The Fuma Conspiracy.

First off, Tobias drops in to chat about Charlotte, NC’s Queen City Anime Convention where he was the main panel man for much of the weekend. He and Bill give their 2 cents on this up-and-coming con that seems to be growing pretty fast.

Then, Austin, Andrew, and Bill chat about Lupin! Always a great time when Lupin is involved.

(00:00 – 24:02) Catchup and Queen City Anime Con chatting

(25:16 – 50:05) Fuma Conspiracy cast/crew breakdown

(50:05 – END) Discussion and review! Twitter questions towards the end.

We discuss characterization, the casting controversy, our favorite sequences, comparisons to Castle of Cagliostro, and more!

If you want to grab yourself a copy of Fuma, best of luck to you. It’s very out of print and goes for $50+ on eBay which is a huuuuge bummer. If you want to see this wonderful movie back in print, please let @discotekmedia know (nicely).
