On that day, this podcast feed received a grim reminder. Humanity lives in fear of yet another episode of the Third Impact Anime Podcast. Not only is this our first proper episode of 2024, it’s the beginning of a retrospective looking back at the one and only Attack on Titan, a series that defined the 2010s and finally wrapped up last year. How well does that first season hold up? What do we think of the parts we have and haven’t seen yet? Is this series legitimately good or a bunch of hot titan smoke? Austin, Tori, and Ryan venture outside the walls to tell you just that. This episode is our review of the first 13 episodes with subsequent parts releasing over the course of the next few months. Please enjoy!
Follow Austin on Bluesky, follow Tori on Bluesky, and follow Ryan on TikTok.
What do you think of Attack on Titan? What are some of your memories associated with it? Did you stick it out to the end? Did you drop off? Why? Let us know by sending us an email at thirdimpactanime@gmail.com and we’ll discuss it on the show.
We also briefly wanted to announce that our wonderful co-host Tobias has decided to take an indefinite hiatus from the podcast for personal reasons. Tobias is an incredibly talented podcaster, panelist, and a swell guy so we wish him nothing but the best in whatever cool stuff he gets up to. For now, this also means that A Grand Line Reborn is on pause. You can still find Tobias guesting on the OSMcast!’s The Carbuncle Chronicle to get your Final Fantasy XIV fix.
