Make sure to only give water and vegetables to all your trick or treaters this Halloween or terrible things could happen! Sully, Tori, and Austin present our 2025 Halloween episode with a review of the 4-episode anime series Pet Shop of Horrors based on the manga by Matsuri Akino. We are also completely serious about reviewing all of Hetalia: Axis Powers if we reach over $1,000 per month on Patreon. Only you can make that happen, listener! Inflict upon us the greatest horror conceivable this Halloween. (For the record, we released this before Anime World Order released their latest episode in which they also review Pet Shop of Horrors, but apparently not before they recorded said episode, but who is keeping track anyway because now you’ve got TWO Pet Shop of Horrors podcast reviews to listen to. And look, if you’re not already listening to AWO if you’re listening to us, what are you doing?!)
Have you seen Pet Shop of Horrors? Which episode was your favorite? Let us know by sending us an email at thirdimpactanime@gmail.com and we’ll discuss it on the show.

[…] Pet Shop of Horrors is the Gremlins-inspired tale of Count D, a beautiful man who sells exotic creatures to people from his store in Los Angeles Chinatown and looks positively faboo doing it. Revel in the anecdotes of Gerald admitting how in the late 1990s/early 2000s, male anime fans would totally watch stuff like this and completely fail to pick up on any sort of fujoshi baiting aspect to it whatsoever. Look, that was COMMONPLACE back then! (For the record, we recorded this before Third Impact Anime released their latest episode in which they also review Pet Shop of Horrors.) […]
